Tell me what you really think.

One day I'm reading this article on Ray Bradbury's prediction back in the 50's, and the next you've nailed it on the head!

Gravatar Yeah, her can't handle it, mamacita. You nailed it. Paris has better legal representation than 99.9% of the world's population.

Gravatar I couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks.

Gravatar Her only medical condition is being brainless.

I am wondering how much $$$ it took to get out.

Gravatar Meme I heard on a comment thread -- PASS IT AROUND!

"NYAAH NYAAH NYAAH NYAAH NYAAAAAAAH!
CAN'T TOUCH MEEEEEEEEEE!"
-- Paris

P.S. I've got a pastor bud who has to counsel 12-year-old PARIS! HILTON! wannabes. Ever notice you don't get Paris Hiltons in an Islamic Theocracy?

Gravatar To be fair, the judge said she had to serve the sentence out in jail, not alternatives. It was the sheriff who let her do home detention.

I have any number of snarky things to say about how Paris got the Sheriff to let her free, but I'm trying to be a good, kind person, so I can't say them.

I'm sure someone else can fill in the blanks, tho.

Gravatar I don't even think it's about the money - rich people go to jail every day. I don't think it's about the fame - the judge could have made a ton off the story of how he convicted Paris Hilton. I think it's both at once - the money and the fame, and the way that society, as a whole, allow celebrities to let us feel inferior, thereby making concessions in circumstances such as these justified.

She was "sick", you know! Really!

Then again, people like this only exist because, good or bad, we talk about them.

Gravatar And now she goes back!

Gravatar Heh...annnnnnd back she goes, after a brief psychiatric consult. Apparently, Paris went a little nuts

Gravatar I am with you all the way on this. This country is the laughingstock of the world for our focus on people like those you named, instead of on WAY more important issues. I am appalled.

Gravatar I mentioned that on my show friday...and I queried as to exactly how much money changed hands between the Hilton's & Sheriff Baca--who has been known to accept plenty of freebies...hmm.

Gravatar Actually, I do pity her - she lives in a hell of her own making. Sin is its own punishment, and I suspect the glamour and revelry conceal a soul in perfectly wretched shape. I just wish that her misery was better recognized so little girls would have the appropriate response - revulsion - rather than the desire to emulate such sickness of soul.

Keep on shouting, Mama! Lots and lots of us need to be shaken awake.

Gravatar It was the withdrawal that done it. If they hadn't cut off her supply, she'd have been fine in jail. HA!
