Tell me what you really think.

Gravatar I'm gonna call and ask what color undies you have on and if they're thongs!

Gravatar I'm not gonna' call - but I'm gonna listen!

Now I'm going to show you how dumb I am - how do I do that?

Gravatar Nevermind - I figured it out!

Gravatar Super cool! Congrats!

Gravatar Wow!!
Thank you Very Much for your extraordinarily kind words. It's me who looks up to you, as I know I could never do the work you do.

And now, the challenge will be living up to your expectations.
Thank you again,

Gravatar YEEEESSS!! I can't wait--I love downloading those podcasts (and Siggy's voice? Delish, is all I'm saying. Yeah, I know that's not the point, but still)

It's gonna be great--betcher ass I'll be listening!! xoxox

Gravatar How exciting! I wonder if that is heard on the West Coast, and if it is....what station? I know you will be FABULOUS, my dear!

Thank you so much for your very lovely words about my blog. I truly and deeply appreciate them more than I can say. My ability to create "art" as I used to has been curtailed greatly by my physical problems, but I am still trying to "create art" whatever way I can---with the camera, and with words on my blog...So, what you said has a great deal of meaning for me, and I thank you with ALL my heart!

And as we say in the theatre..."Break A Leg", tomorrow!

Gravatar How cool! Have fun with it.

Michele sent me

Gravatar Fausta & Siggy are my favs too! When I saw you were the next "victim" I thought "Oh Goody - now I get to put a voice with the writer of these hilarious posts!"

I've listened to almost all of her podcasts - she has such a cool accent. And Siggy - well just ask him this - why is he so fond of jumper cables?

:-D

Gravatar Mamacita, I have just learned that the only time I can see a wedding site today is around noon...:-/

Does Fausta tape the programs and are they available afterward?

Gravatar Here's the link to the archived podcast: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/hos...x? show_id=30484
It was a real treat, and a privilege to have Mamacita and Siggy as guests.

Gravatar I just listened to all 35 minutes of it, Mamacita. It was nice to hear your voices and Siggy sounded very different than I thought he would!

I, as usual, agree with all that you said. I cannot believe that parents bring their kids to school wearing PJ's (I knew college girls did it).

Principals definitely need to have experience in the classroom, but they need to be fully trained in administration as well. I have an old friend who taught education in college. She had her PhD in Elementary Ed, and had at least 10 years experience in the classroom before she began teaching at the grad level. What she had to endure from her advisors and the pres. of the univ. was deplorable. (Some students HAD to get good grades because their dads gave (or would give) the school a lot of money), no matter what their grades really were.

I like what you said about male teachers. The year that my daughter separated from her 1st husband, one of her boys(3rd grade) had a male teacher in the Montessori Magnet school they attended. He was an excellent positive role model for a young boy who needed one. Unfortunately, he left teaching the following year. I really wish that teaching paid enough that well-qualified, compassionate and no-nonsense people would go into it.

Gravatar I say, a star is born!

Gravatar Nice pipes, Mamacita!

And, to think I knew you before you were a blog talk radio expert. Fortunately, you are not the type to let success make you feel too big for your britches, or lack thereof.

Gravatar Here's a fantastic example of a passionate male teacher. My husband showed me this video this morning.

Gravatar Wow, so much to say. I'm still listening and with our current situation -- it's a hot topic around our house (and my blog).

Pajamas at school -- our school encouraged it by having stupid things like Pajamas Day.

Sadly, parents who don't give a rip make it difficult, if not impossible, for those of us who try to do right by our children to be taken seriously. Our only real choice at this point is a home-based education just for sheer quality of education if not assurance that actual learning is taking place.

Mamacita, it's teachers like you who give me hope that not every school is as broken as ours is.

Gravatar Now it is June 12. So the question for you is: Did I call in? Was I the only one who said he wanted to sniff your britches?

Gravatar I kept meaning to tell you that when I was listening to the podcast, I was really interested in the part about recess--I don't think my daughter got a recess the entire year because she was always finishing her spelling or reading or social studies.
Bah.

The podcast? EXCELLENT. I loved it.
