Tell me what you really think.

Gravatar LOL I can really relate to this. I was newly married, had broken my ankle, and left the remote out of reach.

Thus started my addiction to All My Children.

Years later, I met many of the cast members at Disney's SuperSoap Weekends, so I stay hooked, even if some of them are no longer on the show, and even if I wind up watching the show on fast-forward many days.

SOD is addictive too! I do snag a copy every now and then ::blush::

Gravatar There are times in most people's lives when being able to lose themselves, for half an hour,in a good soap can be very therapeutic. I certainly found it to be so.
Here from Michele's and the top of the morning to you!

Gravatar I stopped watching soaps when I started teaching in middle school. I get all the drama I need - and then some - on a daily basis with my little hormones on feet running around.

Gravatar Having babies will do that, won't it. I remember getting addicted too when my babies were small. I must confess that now that I'm retired, I watch GH, stupid show that it is.

Gravatar Doug and JULIE! I can still remember when Julie opened up a jewelry shop, and named it Bijou Julie, and then she and Doug fell in love again and he sang her a song in his club...damn I loved that show.

It's new incarnation holds no appeal for me, however. Years ago I turned to ABC, and have fallen in love with General Hospital. Thank the stars for TiVO, which allows me to indulge when I have time.

Gravatar I KNOW, RIGHT???? Electric Company--EASY READER! Morgan Freeman and Rita Moreno...I miss that show.

And 80s DOOL was the best. Tony & Anna Dimera? Loved 'em.

Remember when Chris Kosichek was NOT Roman Brady? :D

Gravatar If your TV had gotten GH, you'd probably still be hooked...

(It's been stupid lately.)

((Yes, I watch it anyway.))

Gravatar Hehehehe...my little RENEWED obsession. I watch with DVR now and fast forward through all the teenie bopper stuff. I am rehooked! the GREAT thing is I can watch when I decide to watch...and I remember all that with Anna and Tony...forgot about Tony and LIZ though. Sure loved that song on the show with Shane and (I can't think of her name) that Liz sang called Friends and Lovers. So I am shocked to see Anna back. You KNOW you wanna tune in!!! the best way to keep track ins NBC.com and read the daily synopsis! I did that while I was on midnight shift...concise and to the point.

Gravatar I've never seen it, but Peter Reckell was a good friend in high school. We sang and performed often in a madrigal ensemble. He sang the part of Curly in our high school musical production of OKLAHOMA and came to hear me play a cello concerto once. He was clean-cut, always kind to everybody, not the least bit conceited or affected, and definitely NOT a ladies' man.

Gravatar With my firt baby, "One Life To Live." "Vicki" had just had a baby so we had soooo much in common! I was home one day and tuned in. She is still on, all old and wrinkled up. Makes me feel better that THEY get old, too.

Gravatar A vice I've never enjoyed. Not once. Jane, they are SO bad. They rot brain sells faster than maryjane. A magazine about soaps? That's pathetic.

Okay, so I finally found a place here in Chicago that carries Chicharrones every day of the week. They have them finished about 11 am, just in time for an early lunch. When you come we can go get some but even if you're busy, rest assured that I always have some on hand. When I'm feeling too guilty to get them for myself, I have Mario, my friend from Mexico, stop by and pick some up...

Gravatar A hundred years ago I watched Dark Shadows after school every day. Then General Hospital.

Nowadays, I favor what my family has dubbed "nightime soaps." Stuff like "The Riches" and "Weeds."

Gravatar Ladies and Gentlemen: Step right up and see Mamacita "out" herself. It is okay to show a little sympathy, for she now is, thankfully, over it.

Gravatar I must admit that I DVR Bold and Beautiful and enjoy watching it. My daughter also watches Bold, and we love laughing about the unbelievable plots.

Gravatar I once had an All My Children Trivia game.
When the kids were born I forced myself to go cold turkey.
Cold sweats, sleepless nights ... to this day when I hear the name Phoebe ...
Why, seeing Jenny grow up and become an actress is the only thing that got me watching NYPD Blue -- I knew she hadn't REALLY been killed.
