Ohh Keda do have a fabulous adventure!
Turn that frown upside down and think of it (and promote it) as an adventure!
The lets will be having their own adventure too. Some of my fondest memories as a child were staying over at a family member's house for a few days, like when my sister was born, or when my mom had surgery. I never once was upset with her, it's just the way life is.... and if it weren't for my aunt carol I would die tomorrow without eating chocolate rice krispies with chocolate milk on them. My mom would NEVER have that happen, but aunt Carol, she was all about making me happy. And I wouldn't remember catching a falling star with my cousin Mike either.

I have to admit that I feel better knowing that you feel like crap. I'm sure *he* has filled you in on my concerns.
So do I get to meet you too? Hunh hunh hunh? Wanna go to the zoo with me and the Elf?
Safe flight, it's chilly and drizzley. If you're lucky you'll have a couple nice sunny fall days, but don't count on it.

Are you leaving us too?? (She selfishly asks.) I hope you have a fabulous time and that your bags are prepared. I hope you meet a new love in the form of Fuji or Nikon or whathaveyou. I hope you are able to use the bathroom. I hope you enjoy your time away from your lovekins. Distance makes the heart grow fonder...

How I can relate to this surge of motherly hormones! Every time I have left my son behind (in very good care of course), it was total heart break.
Have a safe trip!

Keda darling, have a great holiday, I'm sure the lets will enjoy aspects of the separation and then the reunion too. Though I haven't a clue what the subtext is to your trip, it sounds pretty exciting.
I thought of you and other blogchums during my own flight yeterday.
Bon voyage.

Oh, and I should say that I had a heck of debate within my mind over shoes this trip, or actually boots, should I take the boots that go well when hiking through thigh deep water in a ravine, or should I take the single piece leather boots that feel so good when hiking on dry land!

Isn't it like leaving a piece of yourself behind? But at least you are one of those mamas that always comes back. Such a good mama...makes me smile.
Have a good trip.

Enjoy your trip. I'm sure the lets and you will be fine. Although it has broken my heart and now i'm sad! Funny because I hate leaving UGA, I couldn't imagine leaving children. I'm not ready for that yet.

The harder it is to leave, the sweeter it is to return. Still, I wish I could take an adult vay-cay for 9 sleeps. Enjoy it!

Time away is good, sweetie. It will recharge the batteries and all will be well. Remember what the lovely flight attendants say before every flight, place the O2 mask on your mug before helping your seat mate. We must take care of ourselves so we can take care of those we love. My wee ones were nearly 3 and 4 respectively before their mother and I left for a weekend away. It was good, as was the first time they got ready for bed by themselves.
Have loads of fun and show us the sights with your new camera.

Oh Keda.... I can relate to this, even though it's different, I know.... Leaving Bruce at the airport was the hardest thing I've ever done. And I didn't give birth to him. But I do love him. More than I can express. And so separation hurts....
I wish you a FABULOUS time. And I can only imagine the hugs and giggles that will follow your sweet reunion with the lets! I just hope my reunion with Bruce involves a hotel room somewhere!

And it's just as you said, you will cry and then you will laugh and it's gonna be okay.

I love the way you write. (Obviously, or I wouldn't drop by.)
I freak when I'm away from the monster brothers for more than a day... but once you're at your destination the feeling subsides.
When we came back from a wedding last month the O-Dog jumped off his bike, ran to his mother and started to cry. I would, too, if I had to spend the weekend with my wife's parents, but it was touching nonetheless.

I had been trying to comment for a couple of days, finally it is working now. I'm so glad you got a chance to get away, I think it's so important for moms to take time to do the things that make them happy, without feeling guilty, be it for 10 days, a month, or even 1 hour. When mommy is happy, the whole family benefits. Congrats babe!
