I love having hypnagogic hallucinations. I used to get really strong ones, but they have tailed off over the years. No more half hour of thought and sensation in the 2 or 3 seconds between a record finishing and the needle lifting off like so often happened in my teens.
Oh, well. Thanks for reminding me of it.

WOW, beautiful, words and photos. I really like the next to last photo--of you sleeping with eyes shut, looking soft and angelic, and then of the side of you face awake, only one eye open, seeming to be searching, reflecting the tenor of your poem...

At first I thought you had another migraine. I think the series illustrates well the way we have one outward face we show to the world and another inward one that is more true to our core, yours being sleepy in this case! I love the double exposed images, especially the second to the last one.

funny thing about digital photography. if this photo set had been done with a £7 roll of Fuji film and another £14 in processing, you'd have said "f*ck. they didn't turn out!"
