Wow, an extremely well written and thought out post! Vintage Manish at work ) Really enjoyed reading it. My knowledge about the city is peripheral hence will not comment anything on it. But I am sure this sort of a post /article should go to mainstream dailies and get wider coverage.
Off topic - i hv typed and written out a post in Hindi , would love ur comments there

What you have expressed is very right. Still There is no solution. I am a lucknowite and want to return to my root s one day. But reading these reports and articles as yours make me feel Do I really want to do that. The other point of view is All this happens everywhere, Whats the big deal.
Well Oscillations continue

I also want to do the same. But, I am not sure whether this will ever materialize!

You captured the confusion of a Lucknowite very well...sometimes I'm thankful that I got out of the city when I did...because the Lucknow that I carry in my memories is infinitely better than the Lucknow of the present, multiplexes, shopping malls and McDonalds' not withstanding !
