I just got back from early voting - I have to tell you, I feel absolutely cleansed.
I can officially turn off my t.v. until Nov. 5. Then I'll turn it on just to witness Armageddon, no matter who wins.

Now, it's not too late. You can track the mail van and chase it around, or if you lose it, wait at the other end and rob the mailman and take your letter and change everything. It could be a great road trip movie. There'll be romance on the way. Some nudity. Someone will get his in the nuts. Probably the mailman.
after working in the elections department of my state's secretary of state's office, you should NEVER take your vote lightly. so what if you're a little late for work or have to be a little late going hom??? it's work it...so DO IT!!! :D

I will be there at the polls with bells on...unless that is somehow linked to suggesting a candidate. Anyway, even if you don't like stuff about the US...at least we are heard (or at least we think we are and that is half the battle).
Hmm...maybe I should fill out my ballot before I spill something all over it but I never know quite what to do about the judges... I mean if you have a real problem with any of them, you're probably in prison and can't vote anyway, and if you are a well-behaved person like myself you haven't a clue. They won't send the damn thing back if I don't finish it will they? That's all I would need.

My absentee voter ballot is waiting for me at home! Can't wait to go practice my civic right and duty. :D
I actually like voting absentee - fits my jet-setting (hahaha) lifestyle. But hubby never feels like he's REALLY voted unless he goes down to a polling place on election day.
He was rather disappointed when the local elections office notified us last year that our whole neighborhood had been changed to a mandatory absentee ballot. Something about gerrymandering - I mean, redistricting.
Poor guys still gets all misty when we pass by our old polling place.
BUT, not I can bring a little ray of sunshine to his day by telling him all boaut how NGIP makes the most of voting by mail! Photocopies! Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that!
I gotta remember to go for early voting....

Well that right there was a total crack up! I am totally with you, I definitely agree that we should have a president. I'm not sure I enjoy either of the two options presented at the moment, but there should be one!
I come from a town where nanny goats roamed Main Street, so I have a particularly fond appreciation for your site!

I wasn't particularly excited about voting when I turned 18. But seeing everybody lined up at the convention center on the last day of registration, it felt very... patriotic. Now I can't wait.
I know 'dem Acorn people let me fill out 15 of 'dem votur registrator cards. I'm alls excited to cast all 'dem votes!
I just wish I'd get some of those shiny "I voted today" stickers in the mail.

Oh I will be voting!!! You better believe it. May not know what I am voting for but I am so there. Kidding kidding, maybe.
My 10 year old even wants to go with me. He voted for who he wanted for President on Nick.com for kids. He's way into it this year.
I am not afraid to stand up (ok, I'm sitting down) and shout out (not really, I'm typing) who I am voting for this fall for President!

i'm glad i did it by mail several weeks ago. i thought we'd be in the hospital birthing a baby on 11/4, so i voted. then baby came 6 weeks early!

Ha! I agree too; we should have a president. It's been so long since we did.
I think it's funny that if people vote early but die before the election, their vote still gets counted. It's kind of like, "Hey! In your face! I voted early!"
