Can't say I blame those people at the state department who went snooping. 20 years ago long boring nights working at the police department found me checking out celebrities driving records, home addresses and what kinds of cars they drove. I mean, there have got to be a lot of days like that at the state department... we were always warned, though, don't look up President Reagan or the secret service will be on your doorstep in 10 minutes.
