I just thought I should remind you of a few of your fellow wrongdoers before you more formally assert the association of 'D' to 'druggie'. How about 'r' for 'reckless' in reference to former Rep. J Thompson, arrested for DWI in 2004? And what about former Rep. Rory Ogle, arrested for domestic abuse while intoxicated at his northeast heights home, also in 2004? And may I remind you that it was your Republican Govenor Johnson who has publicly ackowledged using cocaine and pot- even recently admitting to using pot within months of being elected to his first term.
Granted, E. S. Baca's refusal to quietly fade away is taboo, but it is more an indication of her own pig-headedness and not at all a reflection Democrat elected officials across the board- nor of Republican elected officials, for that matter.
A reputable blogger should consider not throwing stones in glass houses.

Representative Thompson immediately entered rehab and did not continue with his PRC campaign. Representative Ogle pulled out of his uncontested race to deal with his personal issues. Governor Johnson has always been upfront with the voters about his stance on drug use.
Now, compare this with the actions of Commissioner Baca. First, she strongly advocates for a zero tolerance policy. When caught red-handed, she admits to occasional drug use, but refuses to admit guilt. Finally, she smugly keeps her $90,000 year taxpayer paid job ignoring even the pleas of the Democratic Party to do the right thing.
Sorry, no glass houses here.

Don't misinterpret me, I'm not defending E. S. Baca. I'm simply pointing to the fact that you are confusing an entire party with the actions of one elected official. You open a pandora's box of finger pointing and posturing about which party is without sin, when the real issue is one official's moral failings.
Baca has her own deamons to slay, just as Thompson, Ogle, Payne Jr., and Brennan. Whether and how she confronts her deamons is up to her.
The 'd' for 'druggie' comment is unwarranted and off-base.

I stick by my original assertion. It is a public relations nightmare for Democrats worsened by Baca's unwillingness to confront her "demons."
