Good post, Mario. I have always been amazed at NM's high grades from NAEP for everything except student performance. Bottom line is the top-down Soviet style planning will not get the job done.

Hi Mario- A good friend sent me a copy of your January 12th comments on APS in which you mention the Albuquerque Journal article and I just wanted to write back and tell you that we appreciate your sharing your straight talk with others out there. I was hoping to send you my latest thoughts on APS issues, still a draft,but I don't know how to do so. I can tell you that several members of the APS Community Oversight Committee, myself included are right now discussing our next move to try again to get significant change to occur within APS. It's like pushing on a rope. We appreciate your help in this effort. Thanks!
