Stop trying to scam us into believing that there is some actual science behind the conservative argument that there is no such thing as global warming.

The website you cite to justify your position "Globalwarming.com" is created by the Clearer Heads Coalition and the National Consumer Coalition, both of which are fronts for corportate, libertarian, pro-business organizations and are far more nefarious than they sound. There is nothing "consumer" about them. I also like how they try to "green-up" their site so unknowing viewers will think they are somehow progressive, or reasonable, for that matter.

But let me get this straight, you're saying these emissions that pollute the air we breathe are GOOD?! You've probably never had to leave near a steel mill or a coal plant and breathe in pollutants. Even the conservative town of Farmington, NM and PNM have joined together to reduce emissions at the 4 corners plant.

Talk about common sense! What's wrong with asking industry to reduce emissions by a measly 2.5%? is that so hard?

Bingaman's on the right track, his proposal is reasonable and makes common sense. Maybe if you came down off the mountain and lived with the rest of us you'd understand that.

Gravatar Just because it will cause economic grief doesn't mean that a head-in-the-sand approach to global warming (excuse me, climate change) that has been abundantly proven is our best choice.

If the choice is a more liveable planet for my grandchildren or less profit for the business community, I'll go with my grandchildren every time.

The business community has been in denial of the facts on this issue - and many others. The truth doesn't go away just because Rush smart-mouths it.
