If Karl Rove were a Democrat, we could skate on the surface of Hell.

And, if Karl Rove were a Democrat, other Democrats would be attacking him for his actions. Democrats are not as good as Republicans about circling the wagons around an attacked member. This makes them less effective as a group.

I'm in agreement that they can't claim the high ground just because they're ineffective. Individually they are just as venal and corrupted by corporations as the Republicans. They are just less disciplined about it.
