That's a little bit of a stretch. Obviously Vigil was spreading around contributions probably trying to enhance his political standing. You can't expect these candidates to know, when they received a $50 check from Vigil, that it's tainted money.
To say:

Is a stretch.
I know it is your duty to try to demonstrate that all democrats are crooked and dirty, but you can't tell candidates that they have to do background checks and investigations on every one of their contributors. I'm sure you didn't do that on your campaign and if you received a $50 contribution from a prominent Republican elected official in the mail would you question it? Probably not.
The question does have to be asked?
What happened during the Madrid and Udall AG administration. For years they had the opportunity to look into this and everytime both of them came up with a lack of evidence. Look at the evidence gathered by the feds, phone conversations, video tapes of cash being paid. Did Udall and Madrid not look hard enough or did they look away?
Allowing Gov. Richardson to appoint his own State Treasurer is like allowing a "Wolf into the Hen House". TRUST is everything and most New Mexicans do not TRUST Gov. Richardson. Besides being Governor of New Mexico, Gov. Richardson and the Lt. Gov. sit on the Board of Finance and they both CONTROL all actions within the Treasurers Office. I recommend that the State Supreme Court be allowed to appoint a Bi-Partisan Committte of Independent New Mexicans to Oversee the State Treasures Office...this action would be in best interest of all New Mexicans pending the outcome of this Criminal Case. New Mexicans are not HAPPY with this CRIMINAL SCANDAL and giving Gov. Richardson additional Power and Control in my opinion is the wrong thing to do. Eli Chavez, Retired DEA Special Agent
According to the Media, Gov. Richardson's organization "Moving America Forward" also contributed money to his "Choosen Few" he wanted elected during the 2004 Primary. It has also been reported by the Media, the $480,000 remained in Balance of "Moving America Forward" which was transfed into Richardson's Campaign War Chest. According to the Center for Integrity, Richardson used a Grayish Area to Established "Moving America Forward". In my opinion, the Media should investigate "Moving America Forward". Eli Chavez
