Mario - you forgot to mention that the other principal of the firm, Dan Matoon, is the former deputy chairman of the Republican Congressional Committee and close friends with Rep. House Speaker Hastert. Not as clear-cut a partisan hook-up as you would make it appear, no?

Yeah, and it depends on what type of "pork" is needed. We know that Domenici gets all the military and nuke related pork, but what NM needs is money for other things. Like transportation.

Ladies, with all due respect, I said nothing about partisanship. I implied that the Governor's choice of a lobbying firm has more to do with his presidential ambitions than it does with helping out our congressional delegation.
Secondly, pork is pork, and I believe our delegation has no problem securing funding for any project - transportation, nuclear or otherwise.
