I am surprised and shocked that no one...no one has brought up the impact of the Con Alma scandel on the City of Espanola.
With Eric Serna no longer having any power over the insurance industry, Espanola city finances are in peril.
One of the major economic driving forces in Espanola for years has been Eric's jewelry shop.
Anytime you needed something from the Corporation Commission when Eric was a commissioner, the road to success was through Eric's jewelry shop. U S West/Mountain Bell most likely financed the building by their purchases. If they needed a tariff change or new regulations, they visited and purchase stuff from the shop. Telephone companies, lobbyists, trucking companies all knew the road to success with the commission was to purchase something from Eric(he brought samples into the office) or the shop.
With Eric no longer acting as the insurance superintendent, no insurance company employees, no insurance company lobbyist, no insurance company agents will make the trek to Eric's shop to buy that special piece of jewelry.
Now, the sales will fall at the Espanola jewelry shop owned by Eric.
Along with sales falling so will the gross receipts tax for the city of Espanola.
Where is the outrage.

You are assuming that Mr. Serna pays his gross receipts tax.
Massive assumption

A/G Madrid should step aside as Attorney General of New Mexico. She failed New Mexican's for not prosecuting the 1999 Kick Back Scandal. It must be noted that today's and the 1999 Kick Back Scandal involved the same players. With this in mind, A/G Madrid had to do something in the Con Alma Health Foundation case to uplift her image as a Crime Fighter to the Voters during the General Election. It is time to rid of Cronyism and Corruption from the Governors Office to Washington, D.C. Eli Chavez, Independent
