...and don't forget that Wilson, in her response, told Madrid she got the same invitation and it clearly stated Sharpton was the keynote...after madrid told the audience she did not realize he was on the program. Hmmmmm....
It seemed to me that Heather was the instigator of the "racial tone" (or atleast tried to be) by bringing up Al Sharpton in the first place. She has proudly stood next to GOP leaders who have been as "racist" as one can possibly be without actually claiming the title. Who is she to criticize anyone with being symbollically affiliated with anyone. ? She has so strongly pushed the GOP agenda with her undevided attention and attendance that she often thought nothing of how she might be percieved by non-whites. All this in support of GOP political funding and support.
Who the hell cares? At least Al Sharpton dosen't cut off dear heads and put them in white peoples mailboxes like Senator Allen did to black folks in Virginia. And Allen is still leading in his race in the prejudice south. The average New Mexican could care less about Al Sharpton being a little racist because he people were hung from trees just 30 years ago. Give Al Sharpton a break! See how you would feel if you lived in a country who not too many years ago linched your relatives just for the color of thear skin. You people are out of touch with reality and not willing to understand why some people may have some prejudicies they still need to work through. Give Sharpton a break and try to see things from his side.
This guilt by association crap is really reaching for it. It will fly with a few Republicans who were going to vote against Madrid anyway.
My honest opinion of why Madrid didn't want this on TV was because Heather Wilson sounds kind of masculine, but she is quite attractive in person. The Madrid camp knows Patsy has a nicer sounding voice. My guess is that's all their is to this. Quit trying to look too deep. Their is nothing their.
