Gravatar "Attorney General Patricia Madrid told KRQE News 13 she wanted Ward to go to prison, but District Judge Pat Murdoch said her prosecutors didn’t ask for that when the came to court on Monday."

That's from one of the links. I don't know what I think of the Wilson ad, mostly because charging Madrid with running a negative campain as part of a negative ad seems ill advised as it spotlights the negative ad just as much.

As for the gist of it... darned good point. And while prosecutors made the decision, leadership from the top *ought* to make a significant difference. Either Madrid doesn't have the leaership influence to make what she "wants" happen, or make what she "wants" known, or she didn't want it very badly. On this one, I really don't think that saying "I wanted him to do prison time" is doing anything other than putting a spotlight on her own ineffectiveness.

If there was some other reason, a plea trade-off that got something more important than prison time, for example, it *almost* sounded like registering as a sex offender wouldn't have been required, though I could well be wrong about that, it would have been much better to give that reason.

As is, her statements just make it sound like everyone ignores her. Maybe they do.

Gravatar Good point Synova. As a democrat I can think of a dozen people right off the top of my head I would rather see running for this seat. I can think of no one I would less like to be voting for.

This is the first time in my life that I have been so conflicted about my vote.

Talk about Child Predator Hypocrisy!

I got rid of the link to your website. Sorry, it's not the type of site I want linked.

Gravatar Give me a break, you're pulling out a news clip from what, 10 years ago? Showing what? Heather mistakenly picking up a file in a pile of papers that the reporter admits he got back minutes later.

Let me think, how does this compare to Patricia Madrid putting a child predator back on the street just three weeks ago? Oh, that's right, it doesn't compare.

I'm thinking it must have been a slow news day when Larry Barker decided to do that piece. It's hard to believe that the fact that a file got moved from one location to another within the same department was considered newsworthy. Well, someone call Larry Barker, yesterday I just witnessed the librarian moving some books to a different shelf.

Listen, I've got a hard time taking someone serious whose homepage link has pornagraphic images. Then again, maybe Patricia Madrid gave you a get of jail free card too, and that's why you're such a big supporter.
