Man, do you have a hang-up about Joe Monahan or what? I like how you manage to somehow weave him into every story and find some problem with him every day. I'm surprised you haven't yet blamed Joe for the current budget deficit and the fact that the Republicans can't get their act together.
Can't you two grown men get together and work this out? On second thought, maybe that's not the answer since this seems to be your problem. Grow up, Dude.

Just wish to point out that your blog clearly states that Madrid's December 2006 date was posted on her website in January. At that time, that date was not immediate, nor was it 90 days away and in fact the website text clearly states her wish for a timeline for withdrawal. The removal of the date from the website is not "flip flopping" it is simply an update as the December date no longer is in synch with the stated text. So in fact she is aligned with 35% surveyed, not 15%.

Larry:
Mario continues to hit all you madrid supporters pretty close to the mark to illicit the catch-all, can't-come-up-with-anything-intelligent, "Grow up" chide. Punctuating it with "dude" was the proverbial icing on the cake.
I'm glad Mario connected the dots to show us that monahan is the madrid shill of the blogosphere. Monahan's regular boasts about being "unbiased" make my political skin crawl.

I echo what Mario says, it is okay to be biased just say you are.
Mario is biased towards Heather and states that very clearly.
Joe Monahan says he is unbaised but is clearly pulling for Pat Madrid. He should say so. Thats all it is.
Full Disclosure.
PS I want Darren White to be our congressman

Mario - you left out a very important fact. The poll was statewide, not limited to the first congressional district where the Madrid - Wilson race is being run. It's the views of people within the district that matter when it comes time to vote, not the views of people in Republican strongholds in the Eastern part of the state, for instance.

Barb, now you're grasping at straws. Suddenly the Journal is doing polls that are skewed by Republicans. In New Mexico? Yeah, I don't think so. Nice try. The Journal's poll matches national polling on this topic. I'll grant you that a large number of Americans are conflicted about our reasons for being in Iraq in the first place - I'm not one of them - however, that does not translate into a large number of Americans believing that immediate withdrawal is wise.

You're not getting it Mario. The NM-01 congressional race is happening in NM-01. It's not a statewide race. So polling numbers that have respondents from all over the state wouldn't have much validity for the Madrid race.

Also, Madrid never advocated "immediate withdrawal" so you're all wet on that count too.

Hmm, our kids are the tenth generation of my wife's family to live in New Mexico, somehow I don't think your family history in the state is as deep.
Why is it when people have nothing to say, they tell me to go back to NY?
