Gravatar Mario,

Irony and duplicity are the hallmarks of the Governor. Here's my favorite. He's so concerned with the well-being of children, yet he changes the state medicaid rules to fund abortions so that innocent, unborn children can be more easily murdered. Then, as if ignoring the moral law in the matter is not enough, Bill Richardson espouses that he is a Catholic! This is totally outrageous.

I know there are cafeteria Catholics, but to not acknowledge the Church's condemnation on abortion is a denial of reality -- and a denial of reality is a working definition of insanity.

Now Dendahl is better, but even he is confused and inconsistent about abortion. He thinks that "a life is taken when an abortion is performed". "Life taken" is the definition of murder. Then he says, "as some point in gestation, a viable unborn is ... a newborn. At and after that point, abortion should be illegal". What is "some point", John? Who decides? You?

John's view of the unborn child seems to be that "If you can live 'on your own', then we'll protect someone from murdering you". John also doesn't know the difference between contraceptive and abortaficient. But hey, at least he is consistent. He supports a "morning after pill" (abortafacient) and he supports assisted suicide, both known as murder.

So, it looks like Catholics this term are really not given much of a choice -- both of these guys have a fascination with death in one form or another.

Dendahl may just be ignorant or lazy about his malformed pro-life stance. Richardson, a self-professed Catholic, knows what the Church teaches and not only rejects it, but actually promulgates the opposite. Richardson is an example of what Catholic Bishop Robert Vasa identifies as a "right-to-murder" heretic.
