Gravatar You forgot to mention that Heather Wilson consistently lied about Madrid's position on Iraq, failed to even answer the question if she thought that Bush was a good President (somehow she worked stem cells into the answer) and that Wilson apparently does not know the details of FISA law.

But since when did you ever let pesky facts get in the way of a good story?

Gravatar I wonder if Patricia Madrid will post a price list on her website for access.

For example:

$100 donation gets you a call back from staff.

$250 donation gets you a meeting with staff.

$500 donation gets you a call back from the "Congresswomen Madrid"

$1000 donation gets you a meeting with the "Congresswomen Madrid"

Hire her husband to do legal work, One Vote in committee and One vote on the House floor.

This way there is no question about the cost of government from "Congresswoman Madrid"

Gravatar I called "Heathy", (how disrespectful of her to demean Ms. Madrids'name)yesterday to ask why her ads denounced Ms. Madrids' position that our justice system should actually follow the law on the books for FISA; which gives the President 72 hours to request a warrant even though he can go ahead with any action immediately. I asked if this meant Rep. Wilson agreed with illegal wiretapping of the American people. Her staff stated she had never seen the ad (lie) and that the Congresswoman thought the law was outdated because of "the new media and stuff". So I guess the Cons break laws first and then change them later to stay out of jail.

Gravatar I still can't believe that Heather Wilson refused to answer the question if she thought President Bush was a good President.

Shocking. Even though she has voted with the Bush agenda 85% of the time so far this year; she is above average, even for Republicans. Obviously, she must approve of what he is saying if she continues to vote with him.

And that Kirtland thing still pisses me off. When will people realize that Kirtland was never in danger, and actually gained jobs in the last round of base closures?

Gravatar LP, it pisses you off that Heather was successful helping keep Kirtland off the base closure list? Or does is piss you off that Heather was successful assisted in keeping additional jobs at Kirtland?

Sounds like you are just pissed off?

Gravatar Frank, you don't realize that Patricia Madrid is taking a pay-cut to become a congress person.

She will no longer be able to charge $125,000 dollars for an Attorney's General Opinion.

Gravatar Frank, it pisses me off that Wilson is taking credit for things she has very little control over. Kirtland was never in danger of closure, it is too valuable to be closed.

Meanwhile, she will not own up to her mistakes, like the war in Iraq (stay the course!) or the fact that the Medicare Part D disaster is a colossal waste of money.

I'm happy that Kirtland is still in the area. What I'm unhappy is that Wilson is willing to lie about her role in that for political gain. And you apparently don't care about that.

Gravatar LP, Politican's taking credit for things that they had no impact or control; what planet are your living on.

As for lying, Patsy Madrid untruthness could fill volumes. She has the moral character of Manny Aragon, she even speaks like he does. If the light is right, she even looks like him.(little slimmer)

As for the election, I hope Heather loses. The reasons are simple.

1. The republicans in congress have been acting like democrats and they need a jolt.

2. The republicans in house have gone native, they have forgetten their core republican values and they should pay the price.

3. Patsy Madrid will be a incompetent fool in Congress and hopefully in two years she will go away for good.

4. If Patsy Madrid wins, it unleases the plug for good republicans to move up. This waiting on Pete D. to make a decision to run or not; and Heather ascending to his senate seat would be out of play. Good People like Darren White or David Igelias could run against Patsy and win and hold the seat for a long time.

5. Any horrible thing passed by a democratic house will be stopped by the senate or the president.

Life will go on.

Gravatar LP, Politican's taking credit for things that they had no impact or control; what planet are your living on.

Exactly. But we don't have to accept their lying to us without comment.

Gravatar Think dems think, Ms. Wilson is as non-partison as one could expect, and she looses and we keep the House with Ms.Madrid's negative learning curve it will cost our state millions of those defense $ we all hate so much. The cons(proud to be, oh how is that stock market? one) will divert the $ to states with say 8 electrol votes. I do love the dem motto "dO NOTHING" and be against anyone that takes action especially when we are attacked, just say I wanted to , I was going to etc..

Gravatar Okay, the question about Heather's thoughts regarding President Bush was just stupid. Granted it was a tough question--but worthless because it doesn't address anything related to who would be a better candidate. Madrid claims that she will defend every New Mexican--including those at Sandia Labs and Kirtland--but then she also supports a reduction in Defense funding? Sounds like a contradiction to me. So when hundreds of jobs are lost at Sandia and Kirtland, will she still be looking out for New Mexicans, or just democrats like typical liberals. Anyone who thought Madrid did well in the debate must be deaf and blind. All of her responses were clearly lines that she had memorized before the debate--and she couldn't even get those out right half the time. Whether you like Republicans or not, it is clear that Heather is by far the more educated, intelligent, and hard working of the two. Unfourtunatly, many voters will never get to see the debate--or see the true half-wit Madrid. The clear winner of the debate is Heather Wilson, and best candidate is Heather. The big question is can she get the votes? She has some strikes against her:
-She is not a hispanic.
-She is a republican in a democratic majority district.
-She is often times unfairly associated with President Bush.

So if Heather loses, it won't because Madrid was the better candidate, it will because Heather has the most against her.

Also whoever says that Medicare D is a disaster truly has not experienced it first hand. I have personally seen it --my grandma is a Pharmacist-- do miracles!!!

It really makes you wonder how Mary Herrera will try to give the election to Madrid this time?

So please make the right choice when you go to the polls, don't vote by party, but rather by Candidate. Don't vote by race, but rather by creditentials.

Gravatar Another Medicare D agenda pusher. Please shut up. My mother has cancer and was refused medicine that could cure her because she wouldn't join Medicare D.

Medicare D does not "do miracles". You are full of crap. The only one it does miracles for is the Bush Administration and large pharmaceutical corporations like Celgene. People like my mother who are battling terminal illness and have financial restrictions are forced to deal with agenda pushers like you who don't know anything.

God help you if you get cancer when you're old and if fate should blow a dark wind your way where you have low funds and there is an administration like Bush's shoving Medicare D down your throat. Then maybe you'll see it from my perspective.
