When you continue to insult Patricia Madrid's intelligence you insult the People of New Mexico.
She is Our Attorney General twice elected by wide margins. She has lead other close races for Congress.
She has won more money for this state than she has cost by far.
Her Attorney's General Office was one of the most efficient and competent in the history of the state. She is a tough employer with high expectations of performance for everyone in her office.
Incompetence and cronyism is a well known weakness of the Right-wing. In general, it is the difference of the idealouges of the Right verses the reality based philosophy of the Left.
Republicans operate from the way things "SHOULD BE" whereas the Democrats go for true expertize as an ideal.
Give me a break, Heather's "win" falls far short of being "clean".
Heather Wilson's intellectual range is far narrower typical of the extremist Christian Right. Her educational training rewards un-nuanced black and white reasoning.
One brain freeze speaks nothing to OUR Attorney General's savy, wisdom, management skills and values. It does not negate her record of extrordinary accomplishments and qualifications as a leader.

As for the "redistricting of CD-1". Don't try to scare people with something that probably won't hurt anyone. This district has always had the threat of being redrawn, but with the democrats having higher morals, it has always been stopped. Your Tom Delay doesn't control this state thank goodness. Democrats have taken back the congress the old fashioned way, by winning elections, not redrawing the districts like repubs. IF this election had been held in pre-1994 redistricting, democrats probably would have picked up 50+ seats.
And NM-01 will probably be redrawn after 2010 -- thanks to the census.

Oh, and nice slam on the Air Force Academy... and the miltiary in general... and Christians.
Yes, I am slamming the Airforce base in CO Springs because there is a long standing culture of sexual discrimination, sexual harrassment, and rape. They have only changed leadership there recently because of the scandal this has caused. Another scandal at the academy is the issue of separation of church and state. The blatant religious discrimination there is finally being remedied because they are getting their ass sued.
So no, it is not a general slam on the military. It is quite specific.
I did not refer to the Christians in my comment. Look closely, it says,"extremist Christian Right". These are not the true Christians. they are American Talaban.

I really love how you all are trying to make it appear as if all Christian Republicans are extremests. Well I would point out that many of our state's elected democrat officials are Catholic. However, how can you be a Catholic and be pro-abortion, pro stem-cell research, etc? It is clear that these people are double standards; they say they are Catholic and yet they preach against its fundamental principles publically. So to compare Christians to the taliban, then you would have to compare democrats to Fidel Castro and Hitler.
It wouldn't surprise me if Patsy became UNM's president, its not as if the school could get anymore liberal biased. To compare Heather Wilson's education to Patsy Madrid's is a joke, you can not compare Oxford and UNM. That is like comparing Filet to Spam.

Well maybe that is why New Mexico is ranked so damn low in education, and that is why we are a national embarassment. We have some great teachers but the system is corrupt and failed. For example this "New Mexico Next Step Plan" is an absolute joke. You are taking valuable time from teachers so that they can do a guidance counselors job. Typical New Mexico Democrat incompetance. Let Patsy Madrid fail to do for America, what she failed to do for New Mexico.
