Gravatar I did not Vote for Richardson in either election but I did see him as having an aura about him as a winner. Someone who could get his way and get things done.
The Spaceport appears to me to be a waste of our money, others with big pockets are going after that business. As yet the rail project does not appear to be all that successful.
I look at Richardson's big win and say 'so what'. This win can not have been very satisfying for him. Sort of like a heavyweight beating a lightweight.

Gravatar Mario: "Neil Simon's documentary about Bill Richardson is being screened this weekend in Santa Fe..."

It’s no secret that the ~Film industry~ as a whole, leans to the Left of the political spectrum. And, it seems that, more often than not, the most powerful within the ~Film industry~, lean towards the Hard Left.

With that true, should Bill Richardson and his Democrat cronies have been allowed to shovel so many millions of New Mexico’s taxpayer dollars into the hands of a politically friendly “industry” we commonly refer to as ~Film Makers~?

Consider this, our country is currently dependant on foreign sources (many of them hostile) to meet about 60% of our overall need for oil. New Mexico has plenty of oil remaining untapped, naturally stored deep beneath our state’s surface lands.

With that, why hasn’t Bill Richardson increased our tax base (and competition for resource royalties in general) by offering (even a fraction of) some of the sweet deals, tax and travel rebates, and other incentives and outright give away programs, that he’s been allowed by our Democrat controlled legislature to give to the ~Film industry~, to a few of our own New Mexico based and most promising upstart oil and gas producers? That are owned, operated and employ solely, New Mexicans committed to living within our state?

Admittedly, I haven't, and probably won't see this ~documentary~ (I live a long way from Santa Fe). However, I'm still curious if this so called ~documentary~ was made or financed, either directly, or even somehow, indirectly, with any of the millions and millions (and millions more) of New Mexico taxpayer dollars, Bill Richardson has managed to give away, to the predominantly out of state ~Holly-Weird~ members of the ~Film industry~?

Could it be that Bill Richardson’s motivations are inspired by the fact that the ~Holly-Weird~ types give 100’s of millions of dollars to Democrat politicians and other Left leaning political causes each year, while oil company types give almost exclusively to Republican politicians and Right leaning political causes?

Naw. That’s just not possible. Surely, after all, Big Bill Richardson and all the Demo’s motivations are pure as wind driven snow?! Right??

Just ask Robert Vigil, Patricia Madrid, Manny Aragon, or any among a long list of prominent New Mexico Democrat politicians, that are either guilty of, or living under the suspicion of, a myriad of creative scandals, that have bilked the taxpayers of money, and of many of our Rights as citizens. They’ll set you straight right away... Won’t they?

Gravatar Tex,
This film 'Inside Bill Richardson' received absolutely zero financial help from the state, or any person or entity affiliated with Governor Richardson.
As you will see from links to articles on my website, writen by people who have seen this film, the documentary is not something any campaign could use. Why? Because it is simply too balanced - showing the Governor on his most triumphant moments, and at his lowest times.
I hope you will watch it sometime.
-Neil Simon
