Today the Pentagon released the following transcript of a call from an Army recruiter to Republican blogger Mario Burgos:
Army recruiter: May I speak with Mr. Burgos?
Burgos: Speaking.
Army recruiter: We want to thank you for your unwavering support of President Bush and the war in Iraq. We also want to thank you for enlisting, and showing your commitment to this struggle for freedom by putting your own body on the line, and leaving behind your family and career for a little while, like hundreds of thousands of other brave Americans before you.
Burgos: No problem. It's the honorable thing to do. Hey, I've got a list of about a hundred or so Republican friends who also want to go to Iraq to fight this noble war. May I give your there contact numbers?
Army recruiter: Shoot.
Burgos: Very funny.

Jim,
Well, that's just silly. Anyone who followed my campaign for County Chairman knows that I only have 92 Republican friends.

Touche! But is Ken Schultz one of those supporters? Inquiring minds want to know.

I think Mario Burgos may be suffering from altitude sickness.
