Jesus Christ Mario you really are a scumbag. All three of White's in-district fellow Sheriffs endorse his opponent and what is your first instinct? Is it to wonder why they prefer Heinrich over White? No. Your first instinct is to try to smear them.
Are you really going to try to say that Rivera supports Heinrich because one of his deputies was charged with DWI in 2004? Are you really arguing that Martin Heinrich is in favor of DWI because someone who has endorsed him has as an employee someone who was charged with (but not convicted of) DWI?
If it were even relevant, have you done any research into how many BSCO deputies have been charged with DWI?
I used to just think you were an honest conservative scrambling for reasons to support GOP candidates but now I see you're just a terrible person with no intellectual integrity.
I can't wait to see what you try to implicate Heinrich with for being endorsed by the other area Sheriffs.

Dan,
You comment and read enough to know that I rarely respond to comments, but I do think a response here is warranted.
My "smear" on Sheriff Rivera is more about questioning his judgment. Go back and read about one of those DWI dismissals. This deputy plead guilty "to resisting an officer." The fact that he has now been arrested for the third time in less than five years for a DWI, means he is serious threat to public safety - we are all too painfully aware of how weak our judicial system is in convicting repeat DWI offenders. Does someone have to die before you're outraged?
I think Sheriff Rivera's decision to hire this guy, despite full knowledge of his past arrests, shows incredibly poor judgment on the Sheriff's part. And, I think if Martin Heinrich wants to demonstrate himself as an independent thinking leader ready to represent the people of New Mexico, he ought to call Sheriff Rivera to task for his poor judgment.

I believe that there are five sheriffs in CD1 and that you are not counting Torrance County Sheriff Clarence Gibson; a republican

Outrage is just one "r" away from outage and it seems Dan could use an "r".
As a retired law enforcement officer, my impression of Rivera's explanations of why he hired Duran was that they are pathetic. And, his on-camera sun glasses may have hid his soul and the truth. The guy is a democrat. What else would he do? Endorse a great Republican and a truly effective law enforcement officer? Demorats aren't turned that way.

Pathetic. This is why the GOP has proven so thoroughly that its unable to govern effectively. The GOP has nothing to say for itself. It has no plans. It has no positives. All it has is smear and attack. Sheriff Rivera endorsed Heinrich and has a questionable hire in his department. Therefore Heinrich is questionable.
If we're going to talk about judgment, Darren White has, from the get-go, supported the illegal and unjustified invasion of Iraq. As has Steve Pearce. As has John McCain. All three of these guys campaigned for a blatant lie to the American people which has cost us as a nation over $2Trillion, over 4000 American lives, and over 20,000 American wounded.
Darren White, Steve Pearce, and John McCain are embarrassing failures who shouldn't even be considered in the running for dog catcher.
Look at that, I didn't even have to go down three layers of association for any of these guys to find glaring failures in judgment. Keep searching for bad people that Heinrich, Udall, and Obama know by three degrees of acquaintance Mario, its all your intellectually bankrupt, fear-mongering criminal political party can do well. I'll keep replying to point out that your arguments hold no water, and you can keep ignoring me, because, again, you have nothing intelligent to say, and hold no ethical or moral beliefs.

Mario you've never won an election, yet republicans still ask you for help. Seems to me people have ignored your record for some time, and from here on out we should question the judgement of anyone who asks for your help.
