misunderstanding (i'm being generous) the post-war conditions causing the lethality of the occupation was the BIG mis-calculation of the presidency.

The way I have heard David tell it, the movie was based on an actual Gitmo trail, in which there were THREE Jags, Dan, David, and Chris Johnson (now in private practice in LA), Tom Cruise playing a composite character. There were lots of liberties taken with the movie, and only the essence is fully true.
So if we want to narrow it down to which one of the three really has the bigger ****, let's hear it from the author, or at least acknowledge David's version of a composite. Why exclude Chris? Because some blogger noticed Dan taking full credit? Then let's at least get Dan on the record as being the SOLE inspiration.

The point of what Richardson is saying is that he, unlike the other candidates- is in favor of a total redeployment, rather than leaving x thousands of soldiers behind. Agree or disagree, but why don't you at least make a token effort to confront that issue?
It's nice to see that you can't understand the facts, though. It puts your analysis in a much clearer light.
