Mario,
With your ties to Heather, could you tell us where she went in the state before last election? I lived in Farmington for many years and don't recall her visiting the area.

You tell us, "there's no prepping for a US Senate run going on here," huh? Someone whom I consider to be a wise and rather credible, in-the-know source told me in a matter of fact manner about five years ago "Heather Wilson has been 'being groomed' for Senator Domenici's seat. Maybe things have changed.
Here's some incredible gossip: I was told very recently by someone who may not be all that wise or necessarily credible but who has known Greg Payne for many years that the (long term?) aspiration of Albuquerque's current Transit Department Director, and long time local politico, is to win that senate seat. Probably just a rumor, maybe Payne has plans to hopefully replace Wilson if and when she replaces Domenici....
Who knows? This is a small state, and Albuquerque is still a small town in many respects, and it may certainly take a lot of money to run a big campaign but if one has good name recognition in Albuquerque that's half the battle in an election win... half of New Mexico's population in in this area.

Who cares if Congresswoman Wilson...does or does not run for the U.S. Senate! Heather works hard and represents the state of New Mexico well. In fact she represents New Mexico so well I wish she was my member of Congress.
I have Congresswoman Dorris Matsui ,who earned the seat due to her husband's death. Wilson is a real woman, because she did not need to marry the "right type" of man to obtain or maintain any position in life such as Matsui, Clinton, Feinstein, Boxer, ect. I like women who stand alone like Wilson, Rice, Blackburn and Thatcher.
By the way, We all knew Wilson was up for the run to the U.S. Senate, because of her star power and takes nosense from anyone including her husband as well as any staff member...Even if they all think their God's gift to the world.
Be glad it's her not my member of Congress looking into a U.S. Senate run .
