The College of of Santa Fe could have done a much better job. There are alot talanted students who gladly like to display their artistic talents much better than the government.
If the state government of New Mexico had some sense regarding their Rose Bowl Parade entry they would have had it an open state wide contest. I would have had students and artist alike to summit a float design disply.Then the best drawn design would be built not whatever the government came up.

seriously -it's the rose bowl parade - ever seen who watches that and cares??? this looks like an appropriate design.

I'm from California. Stating who cares about the Rose Bowl Parade is like stating who cares about New Mexico as a state in any shape or form.
Maybe the Rose Bowl Parade as lost some of it's luster so has the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, however it's a tradition. I just believe the taxpayers of New Mexico could have gotten more bang for their buck and New Mexico already as a alien sighting sterotype that's all. To me there is more than UFO that represents New Mexico. Why should Roswell recieve all the glory?
About my spelling and grammer errors I will be sure to read over my comments prior to summitting them between serving my community and meeting other deadlines.
