Gravatar What does a drivers license have to do with voter registration in New Mexico? According to the County Clerk's website:

"The application for registration requires the following information:

Name, gender, birth date, social security number, residence address, mailing address (if different from your residence) party affiliation, telephone number (optional), date and signature.
....

You will also be required to answer the following questions:

Are you a citizen of the United States?
Will you be 18 years of age on or before Election Day?
Are you a resident of New Mexico?
After completion of the form sections 1-8, you are required to read the “Attestation of Qualification” then sign and date."

Has anyone in New Mexico been accused of voting while not a citizen?

Gravatar perhaps the GOP's arguments didn't have merit in THIS case? i'm surprised you don't know that it isn't the court's job to figure out how to accomplish a petition - they just determine the validity of the specific arguments.

if they did - well then they'd just be an activist court now wouldn't they?

This should end this arguement.

Nice try though.

Gravatar BTW only case of voter fraud I've seen in NM was the Republican absentee voter fraud plea.

Gravatar Simple then. Why don't we think about purchasing the information from the companies purchasing from the MVD?

Yes I know. We shouldn't have to go around, under or over our public departments, but it might be the expediant way to accomplish the goal.

How much will we need? I'll pitch my share in if you'll let us know.
