Gravatar meaningful ethics reform, including a state ethics commission, is unfinished business; it should have been the first.

Richardson deserves condemnation for his arrogance, but not at the expense of the citizens of nm.

pass ethics reform, and then pass another nonbinding resolution listing his shortcomings as a governor and presidential candidate...

...and then adjourn.

Gravatar And what is it about republicans and Governor Richardson. First they say he is a bully and never leaves them alone. Now that he IS out of the state they complain about missing him. Who is dependent on who?

And it is the legislature's job to introduce legislation and get it passed. THEY chose to pursue legislation that they wanted. The house was done with this in a day, and the republicans and a few misdirected Dems in the senate have sat there for quite a few days twiddling their thumbs and yelling for adjournment when they could have been done with it.

I agree with Mr. Macquigg that AT LEAST they should pass the entire ethics package.

Gravatar Huummm.. seems it's the ethically concerned Dems that are getting the bully treatment from the Gov.( elect me or get nuked) Shutup and hang around til I'm in town then we do some ethics.

Gravatar Yeah, those ethics bills sure are useless... especially in the wake of the courthouse indictments. Anyone who thinks that our backwards (or nonexistant) ethics laws don't need to be strengthened is a fool.

Shame on you, Burgos, for failing to acknowledge this while trying to score political points.
