Well, there are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants and adobe (style) houses but I'd hardly call them desolate!

If I were to name my top five favorite restaurants three would be Vietnamese. Albuquerque has fabulous ethnic food and I say that as someone who lived in the SF Bay Area for several years.
