Gravatar Mario, this is great stuff!!!

~Teddy Bear

Gravatar It sounds like Biden endorsed McCain to me.

Gravatar Well, that was back before McCain flip-flopped on every position he's ever had in order to win an election; because he'd rather lose his integrity than win an election.

Name one position that McCain hasn't flopped on. From torture to picking a running mate who requested more earmarks per capital than any other governor in the entire country... he's no longer the same on many positions he was even three months ago, let alone three years.

Gravatar Meanwhile, McCain's actual running mate has decided not to cooperate with an investigation that she herself requested and her surrogates are blaming... Barack Obama. Seriously.

Some Grand Slam choice huh Mario?

Gravatar All you have to do is prop Joe Biden up in front of an audience and he'll say the darndest things. Did anyone else see his claim that people who don't support Obama are afflicted with some kind of intelligence envy?

Gravatar And now the McCain campaign is trying to deny voters their right to vote because their houses have been foreclosed upon. That John McCain sure is standing up for normal Americans!

Gravatar The GOP must have a truly powerful echo chamber if *anybody* believes that 2008 McCain is anything like 2000 or even 2004 McCain. John sold out all his beliefs to win the nomination and has continued to do so to try to win the presidency. He's even stopped doing the thing that made him popular with the press to begin with: talking to them off the cuff. Now he just repeats stupid jingoistic platitudes like "Country First" to them and advocates all the exact same positions as George W Bush (Except for a bizarrely aggressive stance towards Russia which even Bush is apparently smart enough to know is a really stupid idea.)

Even Karl Rove of all people is saying that McCain's campaign is engaging in lies on an unheard of scale. Think about that for a minute. Karl Rove. Remember when McCain claimed he would run the most honorable campaign in history? How can we be expected to trust someone who breaks his campaign promises *about his campaign*?

The only real question is has McCain sold his soul just to win the presidency and will he then return to believing in integrity and honesty or his is soul not refundable?

Its doubly unfortunate that we would have to depend on McCain's health holding out to keep Sarah Palin out of the Oval Office. Palin has proven to every bit George W Bush's equal in choosing incompetence and loyalty (to her and her alone) over competence and integrity.

Gravatar I think Dan has Mccain envy. Mccain is a POW, an American hero, a decorated Navy pilot, a maverick, and the list can go on and on. Country first is exactly what it is saying. My parents spent their lifetime in the military so people like you can have your freedom to condemn people who want to protect this great nation. So yes Country first, love her or leave her.

Gravatar McCain is a veteran and in some senses a military hero, how is that relevant now, particularly to the GOP who mocked John Kerry's veteran/hero status (Kerry was more highly decorated than McCain) in 2004? I don't dislike his service, I dislike his current policies (and lack thereof.) "Country First" is total bullshit, all he's trying to do is appeal to patriotism because he's afraid to talk about his massively unpopular policy positions.

He trotted out Palin as his VP choice to further distract the country from where he actually stands on issues. Now the newness shine is wearing off her and he's dropped back to being 5 points down in the polls just like he was before. What will be his next distraction?

"America love it or leave it" is a total bullshit slogan. What it really means is "If you don't like GOP policies you're a traitor." I don't see you proclaiming that Bill Clinton was "not their president" should leave the country, why is that?

FWIW my father was a career military officer and I spent my childhood living on the various fronts of the Cold War. Does that mean I get to stay in the country or just my Dad?

Speaking of military service, since you're so gung ho about it, when are you joining up so you can go patrol the streets of Baghdad to "protect our freedoms?"

Gravatar Dan your not worth wasting anymore time on, good for your father serving this great nation. All servicemen/women are always honored in our home.Enough is enough quit trying to produce hate mongering among people
