Thanks for Commenting

Gravatar I rarely agree with your take on the issues, but I do agree that it is gutless for anyone to make "anonymous" comments. Alas, such is the world of the internet. This medium has made it easy for the cowards to express their opinions.

Gravatar I agree with you and David on this (and with David on rarely agreeing with you on the issues, but that's another post) Is there a way you can disable anonymous comments with Blogger?

Gravatar I don't understand this issue of whether or not someone signs as anonoymous. Do we really now who I am or do I know who Benson is?
I am more interested in the content of the comments than how someone chooses to sign their name.
Mike or am I really ?

Gravatar And also I belive that a lot of repubs voted for Richardson in the last gov election so this guy could very well be a republican. I think you need more evidence Mr. Burgos.

"Mike" makes a good point, but the easy way to solve that is to look at the ip address of the user. It won't give a name but it will give you an idea of other posts the person has made.

Gravatar the problem with annonymous commentors is not that you don't know their name; it is the quality of the post. the anonymous posts seldom present or defend arguments; for the most they are reduced to name calling.
they detract from an intelligent discussion of any issue.

Gravatar I am just an ex dem that moved to NM and see a state that is run like a New Jeresy city. I would like two strong balanced parties so I'm a small r Rep.. Gov. Johnson could have given the Reps. a boost but he chose, it seems snow bunnies and the purple haze, then HWWBK Gov Richardson bought, buried or hired a lot of Reps. that wanted on the train to the DC big time. So the Republican Party needs some strong, tough, articlate leadership with some vision of change and new ideas. I know Mario only hearing him speak and debate and by reading his blog but he seems to have the talent and thick enough skin for the job. Good luck!

Gravatar I've been a bit unconnected for a couple of weeks, so I missed all Anonymous activity. I love that he's endorsed Mario's candidacy for Bernalillo Co. Rep Chair as an official threat to Richardson's presidential aspirations. Viva Mario! If I had a vote in this election, it would go to Mario.

Keep shaking things up, Mario!

Gravatar Hey. This is really off the subject, but John? brought it up when he made the remark about Gov. Johnson choosing snow bunnies and the purple haze. What does that mean? Is that a reference to his stand [principled, reasonable, fair] on getting rid of prohibition as we know it? Maybe John? thinks we should put in prison the 50 to 70 million citizens who have used marijuana. jack

Gravatar Jack it means that in my opinion Gov. Johnson could have used his talent and popular appeal to help build a stronger Republican Party in New Mex.. I did not mention marijuna nor condemn his life style. I like the guy and he has every right to enjoy life to the fullest I'm more envious than judgemental, and hey... we got Mario!

Gravatar Hey, John. I was not kidding when I asked what the snow bunnie stuff meant. From your answer, I assume that you were referring to the weed and or to cocaine. Now you suggest hat Johnson was a user [his "life syle"] during the time he advocated legalization (?). I doubt it, and in any event, this does not answer the question whether we should build a big joint for 55 milion American citizens. As a Democat, or otherwise, am I out of line? jack

Gravatar Jack no you have the drug thing on your mind. Gary Johnson was a great Gov. I wish that he had stayed more active as a Republican Party leader, he left a void that has not been filled. New Mexico needs some political balance a stronger Republican Party might help. Mario I apologize for provoking Jack and his one track mind....actually the purple haze thing was about global warming .. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!
