What are your qualifications for Bernalillo County Republican Party Chairman?
I've been around the Party for years and have never seen you doing any besides lose to Kathy McCoy in a primary.
"Any volunteer driven organization that wants to grow needs a constant infusion of new people, fresh ideas and unbridled enthusiasm."
On what level has Chairman C. De Baca none does this?
Fernando's Executive Committee is a
"Who's Who" of our Republican Party.
1. Pete Domenici, Jr.
2. Sheriff Darren White
3. Senator Kent Cravens
4. Representative Tom Anderson
5. Representative RJ Berry
6. Commissioner Michael Brasher
7. Joyce Pullen (Domenici's Office)
8. Tito Madrid (Former Wilson Staff)
That's just to name a few of the members. You can't honestly say you can surround yourself with better folks than the ones listed above, and that's not even the entire list of Fernando's Executive Committee.
Sorry, Mario. Maybe you should run for Ward 22 Chairman instead!

I am curious regarding the need for annonymity in the negative comments you receive; why can't people attach their names to their convictions?
I would be supprised to find any one of them willing to run for any position of responsibility, and expose themselves to the cheap shots from those who hide behind annonymity.

Uh oh! Ched is calling people names. I hope we haven't hurt his feelings too much! If you would have made the school board, and a parent didn't like your militant rants, would have called them a "pussy" too?
How about those kids? They've been known to talk back. It's a good thing for Albuquerque and our kids that you only found "300" people to vote for you.
Maybe next time around you can run on the slogan "Don't be a pussy, vote for Ched!" Something tells me those "300" people might not come out next time!

forgive me for not taking turns, but I have a little down time and I am in need of some amusement.
first some fact checks. I did not receive 300 votes; I received 149 of which a dozen or so were friends. even so, that is probably 137 more votes than you have received for anything, except when your senior class voted you the most likely to grow up to be a pissant.
with regard to your previous question about whether I would have called a parent a wuss for disagreeing with me. I didn't call you a wuss because you disagree with me (or mr. burgos) but for precisely the opposite reason. I called you a wuss because you did NOT disagree; you apparently lack the courage to stand up for your principles except by annonymous name calling; which is, well, wuss.

Well, first things first. It's good thing you didn't win the APS seat there Cheddy, because you can't spell (annonymous = anonymous)! You can't exactly expect the kids to succeed when you can't spell either!
Notice the 300 was in quotations, giving you the benefit of the doubt. I didn't want you to look like any more of a loser, but you went ahead and did that to yourself by stating the real, pathetic number of votes you received.
I also don't resort to calling people vulgar names. When I get attacked, I respond with both wit and sincerity. Who's really the nine year old here, Cheddy?

I took a look at your blog yesterday. I didn't think I any blog was worse for the Republican Party than Whitney Cheshire's blog. I was wrong. Your's is far and away the worst.
You make Republicans look like pscycho militant crusaders. What sense you do make is veiled in a rhetoric that is hurtful to our Party and the cause. It's sad to see Mario has aligned himself with a hate monger such as yourself.

I guess your rhetoric doesn't quite jive with the persona of the "wholesome Republican" that Mario is trying to sell to the folks. I knew he'd put the leash on you soon enough!
one of the first things I did was email mr. burgos and apologize for disrespecting his blog while I indulged myself at your expense. despite your efforts to link us He has not supported my agenda, nor I his.
The difference is when I oppose his position(s), I do it on the record and sign my name. However flawed my argument I will still own it.
Also, among the first things I did, was to invite you to carry on your childishness at my blog, not his. An offer you have yet to acknowedge, much less respect.
therefore as my last post in this pathetic thread; I offer the following challenge.
there are over 500 posts on my site. I have articulated my position on a number of issues and posted them online for the specific purpose of inviting criticism (adult criticism-not childish criticism like it's "looney") and discourse. you have posted not one comment, not articulated one honest criticism.
you still have the opportunity to do so.
if you've anything at all to recommend you except cowardice; go there and argue a legitimate point, and leave burgos' blog in peace.
Wow, just catching up with your blog, which though we are on opposite sides of the fence I still read, because I think you are a pretty decent guy Mario. I wish you the best of luck with your candidacy, the party would be lucky to have you as their leader (though I think we might have more to worry about on our side!)

I make my comments on this blog because it has some sort of credibility left. Not much, but some.
Yours on the other hand, no one reads. I couldn't make it through one post without wondering how the Bernalillo County Clerk let you sign up to run for election. You're scary man. I wouldn't want my kids anywhere near your extremist diatribe.

I have a few questions I would like to ask you, as you move forward with this campaign.
1. Can you name any reason why Fernando C. De Baca should no longer be County Chairman?
2. If not Fernando, then why you?
3. Are the rumors of you being on Mickey Barnett's payroll true?
4. Since you're from New York and not from New Mexico, how do you plan to appeal to the life-long New Mexicans you will need to grow the Party?
5. Could you address the issues you will have appealing to Mexican-Americans since there are known prejudices between Mexican-Americans and other Latino groups?
You answer those five questions honestly and then look at yourself in the mirror. If you really think that you are better for Bernalillo County than Chairman Fernando C. De Baca, our Republican Party is in more trouble than I thought.
would you explain in a post; the framework, process, and importance of what you are doing. I am not well informed enough on the fundamentals to understand it all.
