Gov. Richardson can talk all he wants about obesity, however it needs to be pointed out that he has no room to talk. After all this is a man who snuck in not one but three Gourmet Chefs into the budget for the Governor’s Mansion under obscure operational and maintenance budget line items. Believe me when I say this guy has not missed any good meals.

Mario,
A little bit of advice. Dont get your facts from Wikipedia...anyone can put anything on there...it doesnt have to be true. Go look at Mark Ronchetti (the weatherman)'s page. He obviously wrote it himself and talks about how he has a big following and how women love him. Wikipedia is fun but a ridiculous website to site facts. Just wanted to let you know

AS serious as obesity is, I do not think it should be handled on the executive level. I expect a president to be concerned with national security, international affairs, and the economy of the USA.
I do not believe that diet and exercise is a presidential issue.

Brian, thanks for the note regarding Wikipedia. I'm well aware of how easily Wikipedia may be manipulated. However, in this case, the Wikipedia selection I noted was chosen because of its links to very reputable sites (i.e. CDC) with information that served to support my points.

Maybe this is all just a justification to order a new bath tub for the governor's mansion. Shades of William Howard Taft.
