A article on the hill has already stated that Wilson will be running for Pete's seat. I also forsee Steve Pierce and maybe Pat Lyons jumping into that race. Look for more announcements very soon at least on the Republican side.
I never voted for him, but I really am saddened his public life will end for this reason.
The election just got even more interesting. The half-bright quisling Marty says he'll take a look at running. At the Gore event last night he sure did look and sound like a candidate. Whew. He's a lying weasel and a vindictive little prick.
I think you're right about the Democrats. Everyone, including Tom Udall (my favorite), will be on hold until Bill decides what he really wants to do.
I understand that Patsy has said she's taking a look at the race. Huh? Patsy couldn't beat a vulnerable Republican in a District that should have favored her. If she gets the nod to run, the Democratic Party of NM should be disbanded and its leadership stripped of all voting rights. She ran an embarrassing campaign. Stop the madness Patsy! Go away! Take a nice cushy partnership at a law firm and make some money in the private sector.
And your favorite phony? Heather? Please make her the candidate! Pretty please! I got a lot of ammunition for that one. I think I would probably start with her FAKE and PHONY condemnation of that tasteless MoveOn ad. Please. We have men and women dying in a war that should never been fought and Republicans think they have to stop the countries business because a bunch of lefties said something mean to a decorated General. Jeez! I thought R's were tough. Maybe should she sponsor a resolution to condemn this:

Mario is an repub insider as much as I am a neuro surgeon. The R machine doesn't trust Hispanics (just ask David Iglesias)even though Mario doesn't act like one or sound like one.

Please someone tell me why the "progressives" don't consider Richardson one in the same as Chavez?
I have lived in NM since 1974. It seems like we just keep recycling the same politicians. It would be nice to see some new names on both sides.
the absolute worst part of all of this is; those of us who watch local TV or listen to local radio will have to listen to wall to wall attack ads for months on end.

The real question should be: "Who will take Heather's congressional seat? If not Patsy or Chavez? Any GOP takers?
About Richardson...It's no secret he has he's eye on running for the U.S.. Richardson knows he's going to lose to Hilary Clinton....Hell everybody is...Richardson vs. Wilson.

I forgot about....Lieutenant Governor Diane Denish...whomever Wilson faces...I still will be looking forward to the debates. If Richardson stays out this will be the first promise I'll remember him ever keeping.
