Mario:

I have been hitting your blog occasionally for the last couple of months. I enjoy your writing and your perspectives on NM. After following the link, I felt compelled to ask a question, that maybe you or your readers could answer.

I thought the red-light cameras were dealt with in Metro court as a criminal offense, and the "speed cameras" (most of which are mobile, if I understand right) are the "civil offenses." Was I mistaken? I always considered the mobile cameras to be unconstitutional, because people cannot have "their day in court." But if the red-light cameras are also civil offenses, then I am going to be a little ticked.

Does anybody have answers, or even better, a website? Thanks!

Gravatar Thanks, Mario!

Gravatar How about you people just stop running red lights instead of plotting on how to "beat the cameras." If you enter the intersection when the light is orange, you are fine. If you are entering the an intersection after the light has turned red, beating the camera is the least of your concerns. You are putting innocent lives at risk you savages.
