Good luck on the red light appeal! (if you are appealing it) A friend of mine had to deal with something like that as well.

I've been told if you go in with a well-prepared argument then they are likely to let you off (dunno if it's true or not, but worth a shot). You could also use the "Do you know who I am??!" argument.
