Why is this Richardson's fault? Does he need to be here to supervise our legislators? From the reporting I read Richardson is an arm twisting bully, and forces the poor little legislators to pass his agenda.
I, like you, am not a big fan of cockfighting, but it wasn't on my to do list either. We could probably find enough low priority legislation getting attention in this last regular session to have made this special session unnecessary. But the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Whatever happened to the open committee meetings bill? I was VERY disappointed that my state Senator voted against it. What is it going to take to get a little sunshine on some of these back room deals?

If Richardson was honest and ethical he would list the cost of this special session on his campaign finance reports for President as an in-kind-contribution from the taxpayers of New Mexico.
