Gail Chasey as the Chair woman of this committee this bill is DOA. Ms. Chasey is an ultra liberal, while she will not admit it, if it were up to her the state would dictate to parents how to raise kids every minute of each day. As a matter of fact if it were up to her she would have the state dictate how each of us lives every minute of each day.

Last time I looked, teenagers didn't need their parents permission to get pregnant. Since abortion is safer than pregnancy for a teenager, it would make more sense to require parental permission for the teen to have a baby.
By the way, most teenagers do tell their parents about an abortion, but some not till later. There are a lot of dysfunctional families and absent parents out there -- who does it help for those teens to be parents? Requiring parental permission sends us back to the illegal, unsafe practices that kill and maim girls.
