Mario,
I think you summed up the Republican Party when you stated, ‘and at some point we are going to have to change the rules of the game if we want them to continue playing’. That is why I believe you guys have attempted to make changes in voter eligibility in this state. That is why you guys were so disappointed in Inglesias, who by the way did a good job on FOX Sunday morning defending himself. You were hoping to equate someone falsifying voter registrations with someone actually voting illegally.
Iglesias came to a conclusion, rightfully, that a person was filling out false registration forms not for creating illegal voters but rather because they were getting paid for each registrant. Hardly the major case you guys are looking for in order to ‘change the rules’. It is obvious that you guys wish to suppress the vote. Your guys attempt to get a list of driver licenses in this state was an attempt to purge the voter rule of people with Hispanic sir names much as across the country you guys have purged voter rolls of legitimate voters because they were likely to vote Democratic.
BTW your appearance this week on KNME was entertaining as always. You need to work on your poker face though. You tend to have a little smirk when obvious BS is coming out of your mouth.

I'm not a Republican or a Democrat, I'm an American. The U.S. military reported that a Marine was killed in Anbar yesterday. An Iraqi military base was obliterated during a truck bomb attack this morning; the number of casualties is still unknown. In Baghdad, a roadside bomb near Mustansiriya Square killed two policemen and wounded five others, including two civilians. Six people were killed and 30 wounded when a car bomb exploded in an al-Shaab area marketplace. A man was killed and two others were injured during a drive-by shooting in central Baghdad’s al-Rusafi square. A mortar round landed in central Baghdad, killing one person and wounding a second, while a tossed grenade killed two and injured one more in the Shorja marketplace. Police found only five dumped bodies today. Near Ramadi, the decapitated bodies of nine policemen who were bound and bearing torture marks were discovered. Seven were killed and four wounded when gunmen attacked a mini-bus in Hibhib. In Baquba, six bodies were found. Four bodies were found, and a policeman was killed in Mosul. Two bodies were found in Mahmudiya. The body of a man who was shot and tortured was found in Diwaniya. A roadside bomb killed three policemen and wounded fours others close to Kirkuk. Near a Hilla hospital, a roadside bomb injured a man. Two gunmen were killed in clashes with British troops in Basra.
In Haditha, a policeman was killed during clashes with gunmen. Southeast of Baghdad, a woman and infant were killed during a mortar attack. A body was found in Jibala. Five gunmen were killed by Iraqi troops in Balad late last night.

Fred: I cannot believe that Mario was talking about anything other than the process by which the Republican's elect their local party officials. I have personally made hundreds, if not thousands of phone calls for the Republicans in the last several elections and have heard countless times that the person I'm calling either is dead, has moved, or registered in another state. Our calling records come from the county clerks office which is a clear indication that the clerks carries dead people and people who have long since moved on the rolls and has done NOTHING to clean that up. It bothers the Republicans that our voter rolls are in such disarray, but it seems not to bother the Dems because y'all elected Ms. Herrera as the state elections official. Perhaps it is the best way you Dems can retain your stranglehold on the state, by continuing to conducting fradulent elections. This is also why you will continue to support that pitiful whiney Iglesais because he would not investigate nor prosecute voter fraud. New Mexico is a great place to live, weatherwise, but its political conduct which is controlled by the Democrates stinks to high heaven!

Mario,
You point out some VERY important problems for the Republican Party not only in the county but at the state level as well. I would add that with the fundraising, voter turnout, and remembering what party we are a part of, we need to develop a more robust candidate recruitment program. Candidates who can communicate and teach, candidates who believe in the ideals of The Great Communicator.
The two previous comments certainly illustrate the need for education and perhaps a prescription sleep aid.
You ran a fine and honorable campaign for Chairman and have shown the type of grace in defeat that is an indication of a good leader. The fact is, the party needs more people like you.

I am not a member of either the Republican or Democratic party but if I were looking to join one of the two, where would I go to find out what each parties 'mission statement' or 'this is what we believe in' statement is?

Roadrunner, did you ask if they recently passed? If the rolls are purged once a year, than it is inevitable that some may slip thru. Even if it is done once a month, some will slip thru. But that is typical of Republicans to state fraud without proof. Can you point out where dead people have voted, and if so how many?
I questions the Republicans intentions when they only attempt to make the walk up vote tougher, but do nothing about absentee votes. Could it be because more Democratic votes come from walk ups and more Republican votes come from absentee? My guess, yes.
