I'm sure she won't be able to get rid of it completely but KUNM reported this morning that she is requiring all appointees to submit their resumes for review.

Gravatar Just a Merry Christmas on Christmas Day.

Keep up the good work for Dan and Me.

Gravatar Why in the world would you expect anything to change?

What has happened that makes you think that anything will change?

If you ask a public servant a legitimate question about the public interests, and they can answer "no comment", and get away with it, things have not changed.

For as long as the spending of your trust and treasure is not transparent, things have not changed.

Nothing has changed.

Gravatar The simple truth is; if Diane Denish reappointed all of Bill's cronies and a hundred more of her own, there's nothing you can do to stop her.

You can't even guarantee that you could keep her from being reelected.

We have lost control over power and resources that are fundamentally our own.

And they're not going to "give" it back.

Why should they? Why would they?

Gravatar I heard someone on the radio recently ranting about the excesses of the firms that received the bailout money.
Their solution was to vote out the people who voted for the bailout and are doing nothing to curb the way the money is being spent.
That will not happen because we have become so attached to whatever political party that we belong to, that we will vote for a crook in our party rather to vote for an ethetical and moral individual person of an opposing party.
This happens in each election. People who have been indicted and convicted are re-elected in every election cycle.
Nothing will change until the voters start voting for the candidate instead of the party.
That is why I am an Independent.
