A person who wants to read someone else's email needs a hobby.

I agree, that's pretty sleazy.

Sleazy and devious - yes. Surprising - no. I work for a Fortune 500 company and we are constantly reminded of the need to be vigilant against hacking and to use only company email for official interaction. Using an ISP email for official business demonstrates incredibly poor judgement on the part of Gov. Palin.
And why exactly Mario should the actions of one bored techie reflect on the Democratic Party as a whole?

Yeah, as it turns out this was perpetrated by some user of the website 4chan, which is basically an anonymous site full of teenage misanthropes. It has nothing to do with the Democratic party. They'd be just as eager to "hack" any other prominent celebrity's email.
For those of you who use it, Yahoo email is incredibly insecure. Gmail is a much more secure alternative.

The problem is so far no democrat nor the Obama campaign has denounced this. From initial reports in the efforts to trace the location of the perpetrators I am not going to be shocked that it turns out to be someone associated with the Obama campaign. So far it appears that the attack originated in the Chicago area.
Sarah Palin has them quaking in their boots and this is further proof that the left is running scared-- they know that how out of touch with real, working, middle class Americans and their values really are is being shone on with a million watt bulb. And like most cockroaches do when that happens, they are now scrambling for cover.

Kevin, don't you think you ought to have some evidence whatsoever before you go accusing the Obama campaign of this?
Pretending for a moment that they had done so, do you really think they would just take some screenshots of some of her (personal) emails, then given an anonymous web forum the password?
I would be just as justified to say that Hurricane Ike was engineered by the McCain campaign, or that zombie Ronald Reagan planned the 9/11 attacks.
Talk about paranoia.
