Yeah, we gotta reduce spending. We should totally eliminate:

1. The Department of Defense. Totally worthless.

2. Department of Veteran's Affairs. Also worthless. Who cares about veterans?

3. Social Security. Let's o back to the good old days when folks too old to work could beg on street corners and eat cat food.

4. Highways. Who needs to spend money on roads? All that road construction just slows down traffic.

5. Medicaid. When people with terrible illnesses, such as Parkinson's and Alzheimers, have spent all their own money this pays for them to stay in nursing homes. Who needs that? Let em die on the streets as a salutory lesson to those who don't earn and save enough.

6. National Institutes of Health. Who needs medical research? Anything important, such as Viagra, will be developed by private enterprise.

7. National Weather service? Who needs it. Want to know the weather? Look outside, dummy.

8. Department of Justice. There's $26B. Who needs prisons, or the FBI? It's not like they've solved the crime problem, it's time to stop throwing money at 'em

Gravatar Why does the US need to spend as much on defense as the rest of the world put together? And if those 130+ other countries where we have bases think it's important, let them pay for their own defense. And of course, stopping the war on Irag would save many billions of tax dollars. Geting rid of billions of dollars of subsidies to the oil companies would save some too.

Gravatar Mario how much of a tax would you have been willing to pay to keep Bill Gates in Albuquerque?
