As a young Native New Mexican woman, I LEFT HOME to be alone in a vast city completely against my nature and creed.
In the face of profound loneliness and fear, I passed up marriage proposals from nice New Mexican men all the while my family and loved ones calling me to come HOME everyday.
All this for a few fleeting moments in the dark witnessing the beauty of GOD manifest in the light.
Worth it? Hell yes!
