A friend of mine had their home broken into over the weekend and it made me think about this race.
I have no confidence in DA Brandenburg. I seriously question her judgment on the cases she decides to plead out and the cases she decides to take to trial.
I truly do not believe that she has the citzen's of this county's best interest at heart.
The bottom line in the Torraco Brandenburg tiff;
who will incarcerate more criminals during the next four years??
Kari Brandenburg is out of the running.
That leaves Torraco.
I'm not a Brandenberg supporter but to be fair, the state and municipal governments (read: Bill Richardson) is more concerned with lowering the DUI rate than with prosecuting "real" crimes. The funding to prosecute property crime just isn't there and both APD and BCSO have become increasingly apathetic over the last few years due to their incompetent/corrupt leadership.
I won't pretend I know anything about Torraco but even if she's Elliot Ness reincarnated she won't be able to accomplish anything with current funding levels and executive priorities.
