They are probably getting shipped to Iraq. Its not like they arer giving these service members a nice vacation just to go home.
Thats what happens when you are in an uneccessary war that stretches the military so thin you have to use domestic national guard in foreign countries.
I swore I would never do this... but I hired some immigrant labor to help me load a container in Mississippi.
Actually they volunteered to load the container. They were willing to do it for free in order to establish themselves with people who might hire them or refer them...
I felt kind of bad about that whole scene and paid them.
They were talking about going back home because they couldn't find work.
That is ok too. But I know one thing... I never thought I'd be saying this... There are no gringos who are willing to work on those terms. Really there are not any gringos that will do honest work.
I don't know, maybe that is kind of harsh and not quite realistic.
In Mississippi white high school girls will actually work in resturaunts.
Contrast that with a culture that produces a labor force that will only work in call centers... sitting behind a desk... calling people and lying to them about collecting for some noble cause.
