Southwest Secondary Learning Center use hi-tech methods of teaching at their charter school. So in this instance I am not sure this would not be a good expenditure. If it were to be proposed that all kids in APS were to recive i-pods then I would be opposed.
At the charter school my daughter will be attending this fall parents are "suggested" to pay a $100 technology fee.
It's an awfully *strong* suggestion, not being presented as the least bit optional.
I honestly don't know that the emphasis on technology helps very much. What *exactly* was wrong with cribbing reports from the Encyclopidia Brittanica instead of a web site?
maybe this brilliant iPod idea also has Governor Richardson's blessing.
I say we blame it on Clinton. Isn't everything else his fault? Or has the "blame it on..." mantle been moved over to Speaker Pelosi?
Pete and Heather should be able to handle this with a "phone call"--shouldn't they?

The more I think about this the more it bothers me. You put your party above State and Country? That really is disappointing.
I for one am glad that Manny, Ken, et al are about to get their comeuppance. Crooks are crooks and we have to weed them out of our government. Aggressive oversight of all levels of government is the only way to keep politicians from showing us their human side. chedd macquigg crusades for (and rightfully so) open and honest government. Sunshine is the best cure for dishonesty.
We don't need leaders whose character is questionable. Yes we can forgive. But can we afford to forget?
