Gravatar your children are fortunate to have parents that will, and can, offer guidance.

For the rest, there are schools.

Teddy Roosevelt wrote; "To educate in the mind and not in the morals, is to create a menace to society."

There is an excellent opportunity to begin creating more good citizens, and fewer menaces to society.

It begins with honest accountability, to meaningful standards of conduct and competence, for educators.

Currently in the APS, the "leadership" has no meaningful standards, and no accountability to such standards as there are.

The Meyners Audit revealed that the APS Financial Division, spending a billion tax dollars a year,
has NEVER had written financially sound policies and procedures,
has not been following the policies they had,
have been spending tens of thousands of dollars at a time without involving purchasing,
without appropriate authorization,
and without keeping "adequate financial records".

They have abdicated as role models.

Your children, if they are in the APS, will have their values eroded by the examples that are set for them by the leadership of the APS.

I wish that there were something I could say to make that more obvious.

And to make people understand that we are only one full scale forensic audit away from ending the corruption and incompetence in the leadership of the APS. for ever

Gravatar Turns out the easiest way to keep a teen from substance abuse is to keep the family intact:

Wrong: you're mistaking correlation for causation. It's at least as likely that the factors that cause people to decide to divorce ae the same factors that cause people to do the other things on your list. It's probably true that people in the US who wear skirts are far more likely to have breasts, but that doesn't mean that wearing skirts caused them to develop breasts.

Gravatar Ched, let it go. You harp on the same old things and all that happens is nothing.

APS is wrong, Modrall is wrong, Meyers is wrong. Marty, the school board member is wrong. Darren is hiding something. Scrathy the cat is wrong. Blah, blah, blah.

Have you ever thought that no one cares what you have to say because you put them down all the time. The conspiracy you call aps is not that at all. It is a large public institution that is too large and too bureaucratic. But, there are a great number of teachers and administrators that care for the kids and provide a great environment to learn. Write about that...........

A forensic audit, what the hell is that. All it would provide is another opportunity for people like you to bitch.

Gravatar Frank, good to see you back.

I am curious if you have ever done anything at all except criticize others; it being so much easier to criticize than create.

Did it ever occur to you that it might be difficult and time consuming to actually hold powerful people accountable for their misconduct.

A forensic audit would remove the corrupt and the incompetent. There would be no need to "bitch" anymore.

The great teachers and administrators that you feel the need to protect, have never been the subject of my "bitching".

You write like you have some intelligence; syntax, spelling, and such, but the points you make are indefensible;

"let the bad guys continue with their corruption because you don't understand the implications of a forensic audit."

Yeah, let's all get behind that one!

Gravatar Frank,

I have elaborated on my reaction to your attack on D6.

Gravatar Mario,

and Frank.

If you both agree, I will send $20 to Mario at his business.

He will send that $20 bill to Frank immediately upon Frank's submission of a substantial rebuttal of anything that I have ever written; fact, opinion, allegation, statement of philosophy, any of my 2000+ posts.
