Gravatar You note that this happened several years ago. Don't lots of Senators and Congressmembers have funds that donate to other members campaigns? How much did Tom Delay or Boening donate to Heather Wilson's campaign in the last few years? And that didn't influence her loyalty to the leadership rather than to her constituents' interest?

Gravatar And without that money they would have been long gone and we wouldn't even be able to remember who Jeff and Bill were. They never would have won re-election last year without that money.
Michelle, I believe Heather gave back most or all of the money that she received from Delay, Foley, Boening and all of the other indicted men cluttering our legal system.
For people who are left wanting from this blog, please venture over to barackoutwithmycockout.blogspot.com and enjoy a new perspective on New Mexico's La Politica.

Gravatar We will keep talking about campaign finance reform here in New Mexico. Public Financing of campaigns would make this shift of money unneccessary. It seems like the only ones stuck in the past are Republicans and Democrats who don't see the need for another option.

And if you (like many of the brain dead punditry) think that these superdelegates are going to be the deciders of this election you are dreaming. The Democrats will be united and will trounce John McCain in November.

The tremendous record turnouts in the primaries for Democrats is just the opening act. I can't wait for the big finale in November.

Gravatar There is no better evidence of vote buying than the the GOP County Pre-Primary conventions where people off the street with no real idea what the hell is going on within the Party, comes in with their $30.00 provided by campaigns to vote for themselves.

Mario, you've been doing this for years now.
