I just spoke to a friend of mine that now works for Cisco. Seems Cisco and Microsoft are in a bit of a war over some turf (MS is doing things in applications that Cisco claims needs to be done on the network and MS is telling customers they don't need to upgrade their networks now). MS is also going after the VOIP call manager busienss. Cisco's VOIP call manager runs on Windows software. All this has come to a head and Cisco has now decided to buy Mac's for their employee's.

Look like this stuff is all tied together. My friend told me on his Cisco supplied MAC he's VMware Fusion so he can run windows apps.

This should be an interesting year in tech.
